Food service workers from across New York joined lawmakers at the statehouse Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, to push for a bill that would nix the “subminimum wage” that workers currently receive, and require employers pay the full minimum wage on top of tips. An organizer from labor rights group One Fair Wage wore a mask of President Donald Trump to criticize his alleged support of large corporations that poorly treat service workers.
