While Finger Lakes Public Radio 89.5 WEOS and our broadcast partner WXXI Public Broadcasting are keeping you up-to-date on the coronavirus situation here in the Finger Lakes and around the globe, we've compiled this list of resources for you with coronavirus/COVID-19 information.


School districts across the region are closed

All schools in New York State are closing for at least two weeks. Each school district will share more information about their needs.


Do you think you have symptoms?

If you are are concerned that you may have symptoms of COVID-19 (the CDC says symptoms are fever, cough, shortness of breath), please call your primary physician before seeking medical attention. Please do not go to the emergency room unless you are in need of emergency assistance - if so, please contact the emergency room in advance so clinicians are prepared to protect themselves and other patients.

Gyms, bars, casinos, restaurants (except for take-out and delivery) are closed.

Barbershops, hair salons, tattoo and piercing parlors and nail salons must close by 8 p.m., Saturday, March 20.


Spectrum offering internet for households with children

Charter Communications is offering free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps.

To enroll you can call 1-844-488-8395. Charter says that installation fees will be waived for new student households.
