This fiery brass band returns to Ithaca, with the trio of King of Sludge (drums), Leo P (sax) and Matt Doe (trumpet) ready to renew their tight bond with fans drawn by their propulsive grooves and relentless attack. Birocratic opens the show.

A legendary singer-songwriter and one of the founders of the Women’s Music Movement, Near is respected around the world for her music and activism. For more than 50 years, she has been lauded for insightful storytelling and a stage show that blends world consciousness, spiritual discovery and theatricality. This show is part of the Suffrage Centennial Celebration Concert sponsored by Auburn Public Theater and Women’s March in Seneca Falls Jan. 17-19.

Formed in 1976, these British punk legends are known for their “Clockwork Orange”-inspired image and catchy songs. Their early 1980s albums “Songs of Praise” and “Sound of Music” produced several hits, and their stage shows are known to border on chaos with the use of confetti, costumes and magic tricks. Ithaca's own Secret Service Men will open the show.

After playing the Haunt a few times, Greensky Bluegrass makes the leap to the bigger State Theatre. For 18 years, the band has been winning fans with its energetic blend of bluegrass and rock ‘n’ roll and has sold out venues such as Red Rocks, The Ryman, and performed at festivals such as Bonnaroo, ACL and Outside Lands. Their latest album is 2019’s “All For Money.” Ghost Light opens the show.

Legendary reggae singer Half Pint comes to Central New York, joined by special guests Andrew Bees of Black Uhuru and King Hopeton. Half Pint’s best known for his 1983 hit “Wisdom,” which the Rolling Stones covered (though renamed it as “Too Rude”) on their 1986 album “Dirty Work”; Sublime’s 1996 song “What I Got” used the chorus from his song “Loving.” They’ll be backed by the Yellow Wall Dub Squad for the night.

The acclaimed Japanese-born, Berklee College of Music-educated guitarist returns to Central New York for a pair of shows in which he’ll showcase his fusion of folk, jazz and world music influences and virtuosic technique. He’ll also conduct a workshop at the Auburn Public Theatre at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25; tickets are $30 and are available here, and give another workshop in Trumansburg at 3:30-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 before his show later that night; tickets are $30 and available here.

The New Hampshire reggae-rockers will bring their “Grateful Roots” tour to Central New York in honor of their latest project, “Grateful Dub,” in which they put a reggae-fied spin on classic Grateful Dead tunes such as “Fire on the Mountain” and “Friend of the Devil.” Pat Tato and the Baked Potatoes will open the show.

This Long Island quartet will bring its “Squad Tour” to Syracuse to showcase its trademark blend of hiphop, jazz and prog rock. Their latest album is “Shapeshifter II: Outbreak,” which they created with longtime friend Robert Carranz, the Grammy Award-winning producer-mixer-engineer also known for his work The Mars Volta, Ozomatli, Marilyn Manson, and Taj Mahal. RCA, featuring members of Dopapod and Kung-Fu, will open the show.

He also has acted in movies and television series, as well as expanding his brand to other industries such as fashion and energy drinks.
