Senator Chuck Schumer visited Seneca Falls Monday. He stood in front of the Women’s Rights National Historical Park and call on the House of Representatives to approve a bill the Senate passed last week of make the Land and Water Conservation Fund permanent. The fund helps pay for protecting lands and historic sites.
Schumer says Rochester and the Finger Lakes region have received $11-million dollars has come from the fund.
Schumer says he has not talked to Congressman Tom Reed, but believes he will support the legislation.
